Meet the Founder

Ron Bonilla is a dedicated music educator and performing musician based in South Jersey. He currently serves as an elementary music teacher at Hurffville Elementary School where he brings creativity, cultural awareness, and passion to the classroom. In addition to teaching general music, he directs a 70-student choir spanning two grade levels, leading two major performances each year.

Mr. Bonilla holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Montclair State University, where he studied classical saxophone under acclaimed saxophonist Stacy Wilson. His deep foundation in music performance and pedagogy informs his student-centered approach to teaching.

Beyond the classroom, Mr. Bonilla is active in the local and regional music scene. He is a saxophonist in the band Hotel Shmotel, and has served as a Marching Band Woodwind Instructor at both Pequannock Township High School and Mainland Regional High School, mentoring student musicians in ensemble technique and performance.

For nearly five years Mr. Bonilla taught at the Bonilla Vocal Academy led by Teresa Bonilla, where he provided one-on-one private music instruction, created a student-led rock band, and supported biannual recital showcases.

Passionate about fostering creativity and self-expression through music, Mr. Bonilla is committed to inspiring the next generation of musicians while continuing to explore new artistic paths himself.
